Wrecklanders: Idle Island is an idle game for the browser. It runs on phones, tablets and PCs, can be installed like an app, and is free: no ads, no purchases, no sign-up. It is made by one developer in Germany and is available in English and German.

You send survivors on expeditions to eight painted places, from the beach and the wreck to the lagoon, the jungle, the cave, the lighthouse and the summit. On the way they meet small choices: play it safe for a guaranteed find, or take a risk for something rare. Back in camp you open their bags: tools in five tiers, one-of-a-kind pieces with their own trail, people who join your camp, and mementos that tell the story of the passengers.

With what they bring you grow the crash site into a village across five eras, from a wreck camp to a harbor. People can repeat a trip on their own, and the island keeps producing while you are away. When you come back, a postcard shows what happened and suggests one next step.

Deep in the mountain, a green light points to Station 4 and “Project Beacon”, a mystery told in five steps. When a rescue ship finally comes, you choose your next island and take heirlooms with you. Friends are optional: invite them and they help on your island.
